This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on Career Ladders (https://careerladders.org). It is issued by Labor Bilişim Medikal İnş. Yay. Tic. Ltd. Şti. as controller and should be read together with the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a website. Cookies keep your session open, remember your preferences and help the site operate securely. In this policy, “cookie” also covers equivalent technologies such as your browser’s local storage.
2. Cookies we use
Career Ladders uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver the service you have requested, plus storage for preferences you set yourself. We do not use advertising, profiling or third-party tracking cookies.
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for core functions such as signing in and completing a purchase. Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) they are exempt from the consent requirement, because they are strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keeps you signed in and carries your identity between pages. | Session |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects form submissions against cross-site request forgery. | Session |
| locale | Remembers the interface language you selected. | 1 year |
2.2 Preference storage
Your browser’s local storage holds interface settings such as light or dark theme and reading text size. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
2.3 Payment provider cookies
At the payment step, the payment institution’s secure page or frame is loaded. That institution may set its own cookies for transaction security and fraud prevention, as a separate controller under its own policy. Your card details are never stored on Career Ladders servers.
2.4 What we do not use
There are no advertising networks, behavioural targeting tags, social-media pixels or third-party analytics cookies on the Platform. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set.
3. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, or set your browser to warn you before a cookie is stored. If you block strictly necessary cookies you will not be able to sign in or use the paid parts of the Platform.
In most browsers, cookie controls are found under “Settings › Privacy and security”. Preferences held in local storage are removed by clearing site data for this domain.
4. Your rights
Personal data processed through cookies is covered by the Privacy Policy, including your rights under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR and your right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise a right, write to [email protected].
5. Changes
We update this policy whenever the cookies we use change. The date of the current version is shown at the top of this page.
